The Saskatchewan Legislative Building Rehabilitation Project was broken down into two phases. The first phase included the installation of approximately 1,800 pre-cast concrete piles under the building's north, south and east wings as well as the building's centre core.  The first phase also included extensive design work to ensure the success of this major undertaking. More details on phase one of the project are available by clicking on the buttons below.

Phase two of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building Rehabilitation Project addressed life safety and accessibility issues. This phase of construction included the installation of a fire sprinkler and smoke detection system throughout the entire building and the construction of a barrier free entrance at the building's north end for people with mobility impairments. More details about phase two are available by clicking on the button below.

The entire four-year rehabilitation project also followed a very close heritage conservation approach because of the historical significance of the building.   For more details on the building's heritage and the approach to construction, click the button below.
