This photo is an indication of the size of the Tyndall stone fragments which have fallen off the exterior of the building. Shifting and variable weather conditions have caused this problem. This piece of Tyndall stone was found on the roof of the East Wing of the building after falling from near the top of the Dome. The piece measures approximately 10" in diameter. It is for reasons such as this that the rehabilitation project had to be carried out.
